Halloween Events in Philadelphia

Get ready for some thrills and chills when you visit Philadelphia this Halloween. The city comes alive with harvest time fun, when the events calendar fills up with everything from haunted houses and scarecrow competitions to costume balls and trick-or-treat parties.
Take your little ghouls down to the Pumpkinland Harvest Festival at Linvilla Orchards for family style activities like apple and pumpkin picking, face painting, pony rides, and a friendly witch’s house. Trick-or-treat with Sesame Place friends at the Count’s Halloween Spooktacular, where the little ones can also try out the maze, enjoy a hayride and listen to story time.

Check out life-size scarecrows at Peddler’s Village and enjoy pumpkin painting, pie-eating contests, scarecrow making classes, live music, and great food. Franklin Square comes alive with Halloween fun including nighttime mini golf, music, and more. Longwood Gardens opens the Pumpkin Playground, where kids of all ages can play on, around and in oddly shaped pumpkins and gourds.
The annual Gravediggers Ball is the place to be for a spooky dinner, dancing and live entertainment all to support the city’s famous Laurel Hill Cemetery. Don your favorite costume and head to the Henri Davis Halloween Ball, where you’ll dance the night away at an eccentric party that has a tradition dating back to 1968.

Whatever you decide to do this Halloween, The Rittenhouse offers luxurious accommodations, upscale amenities and unmatched service close to everything you want to see or do in Philadelphia’s historic City Center.
