Mummer’s Parade 2014

First celebrated as early as the 1800’s, the Philadelphia Mummer’s Parade is truly a Philadelphia tradition.  Join thousands of others—locals and out-of-towners—in watching troupe after troupe of dedicated mummers waltz, dance, sing, and slide by.  If you were curious, a mummer is by definition a costumed reveler and entertainer who welcomes in the New Year.

Holidays at Longwood Gardens

A Philadelphia area institution since the 18th century, Longwood Gardens showcases its brilliant celebratory holiday traditions this 2013 with the return of A Longwood Christmas.  Lasting until the 12th of January, this year’s grounds are fully bedecked inside and out.  Inside the conservatory, exotic fruit-filed trees—some nearly 20 feet tall—tower over the sunken marble floors.
